Information for Students & Business Owners
Enterprise Plus have been pairing senior high school students with local employers throughout Queanbeyan, Braidwood, Yass, Goulburn, Crookwell, Cooma, Jindabyne and Bombala under the Work Placement Program for over 20 years.
The Work Placement Program coordinates the mandatory work placements senior high school students are required to complete when they are studying a Vocational Education Training course towards their HSC.
Vocational Education Training courses include:

- Business Services
- Construction
- Design Fundamentals
- Early Childhood Education & Care
- Electrotechnology
- Entertainment
- Financial Services
- Furnishings-Furniture Making
- Hospitality
- Human Services (Aged Care, Health Services Assistance & Allied Health Assistance)
- Information & Digital technology
- Manufacturing & Engineering
- Primary Industries
- Retail
- Sports Coaching
- Tourism Travel & Events
These courses, which require the completion of industry-relevant work placements, contribute to the Higher School Certificate and lead to nationally recognised Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications.
The Work Placement Program provides students with the opportunity to gain industry and employability skills as well as on-the-job experience for their potential future career path.
Businesses and industry leaders who volunteer to host students under the program are widely recognised for supporting local youth and giving back to their community. They are sharing industry skills, knowledge and passion and contributing to their industry’s relevance for future employment.
Under the program, host employers are also able to trial students’ suitability for current or future employment and inspire students to stay on track on their path from school to work.

The State of New South Wales funds the coordination of work placement through its Department of Education under the Work Placement Coordination Program and in conjunction with schools administered by Catholic Schools NSW and the Association of Independent Schools of NSW.
