Question 1: What does your business produce or supply?

A magnetic phone mount with 360 degree rotation that lets you take photos and videos from anywhere, in any angle.

Question 2: What motivated you to start your business?

I was more driven than motivated to start my business. As a professional bodybuilder recording exercises at the gym was very fiddly trying to balance the phone on something or leaning it on the wall trying to get the best lighting or angle. There has got to be an easier way, I thought. That’s when I designed O-MAGi and soon realised the versatility of the design is not just limited to gym but a wide range of usage including kitchen, construction, office, parks, indoor, outdoor, wherever there’s metal just stick your phone and record, in any angle!

Question 3: When you think about your business what keeps you awake at night?

It keeps me both excited and nervous at the same time! I’m constantly thinking about how it can help people, how can I get this out to the world and change lives. In this day and age, the world is rapidly adapting to many social platforms that require videos/photos to promote themselves or their business to earn a living. I truly believe that O-MAGi can help bring out inventive contents for all their needs.

Question 4: What has your business taught you personally?

It has taught me to take action with urgency. It has taught me to manage my time even better. I have 2 or 3 laptops running simultaneously everyday – my full-time job, my part-time job and building my business. The best part is that I absolutely LOVE doing it. I’m learning every single day, failing forwards, making mistakes, asking for help, seeing the hard work come to fruition and repeat. I love it !

Question 5: What’s a recent business success that you have had, that has motivated you to keep going?

Recently had a large retailer stock O-MAGi. That was absolutely amazing news to wake up to.

Question 6: How do you feel about the future of your business in the next three years?

I simply want to see O-MAGi change lives in this world. It may be something small and simple, but I believe it can make a difference and in 3 years I hope to see one in every household. O-MAGi is designed to give the world the freedom to shoot inventive photos and videos.

Question 7: How does your relationship with SRBEC help you and your business?

My relationship with SRBEC has grown strong in the short amount of time. Narelle has been absolutely fantastic in giving business advice. She is responsive, knowledgeable, proactive, and always positioning me and my business for growth. I am truly grateful for all the guidance I have received from Narelle and team.
Andrew provided some great insights on another project I am working on which definitely helped with my decision making. Melinda from digital team was incredibly helpful with my social media advertising. Her guidance and responsiveness has given more clarity on how to approach advertising on social platforms. I am confident SRBEC will continue to be part of my go-to team for any business related advice. It just shows they truly care about the people and their businesses.
