13 Sep Work Placement Host – Hogno Plumbing
Brett Hogno, the owner of Hogno Plumbing, has been an integral part of our Work Placement Program since 2019. He has hosted over 8 students, including Dane Howard, a year 12 student from Yass High who is currently completing his second 35-hour work placement with Hogno Plumbing. Brett’s commitment to working with young people and helping them navigate their career choices has been instrumental in the success of our program. He values the opportunity to get to know young locals and continues to support them, even if they choose careers outside of plumbing.

Dane said he has appreciated the plumbing industry experience he has had with his host Hogno Plumbing. Dane has learned new skills such as how to use a jackhammer, do a bathroom fit-off, install drainage, vent a sewer drain through a roof, install a toilet, and complete a kitchen roughing fit-off and connect. Dane hopes to gain an apprenticeship in construction in 2025.
