Enterprise Plus Business Hubs – one launch, two re-brands

We were delighted to host stakeholders and guests for our Small Business Month Events which included the launch of our new Enterprise Plus Business Hub in Albury, the re-branding of a Business Hub in Wagga Wagga, and the re-branding of our Head Office and Business Hub in Queanbeyan.

With the Business Connect program funded by the NSW Government, we were pleased that all three local members of parliament were able to attend; Justin Clancy MP, Dr Joe McGirr MP, and Nichole Overall MP.

The Mayor of Wagga Wagga, Clr Dallas Tout also attended the Wagga Wagga event.

Enterprise Plus Chair Sue Whelan OAM, and CEO Jonathan McIlroy, welcomed guests at each event and provided an overview of the organisation.

As the largest Business Connect provider in regional NSW, we are exceptionally proud of having assisted more than 100,000 small businesses over 30 years.

Local business advisors for the Business Connect, ASBAS Digital Solutions, CBASS, and education programs also provided case studies as examples of the great work they do, utilising their experience and knowledge to make a positive difference.

Kevin Bascomb, Business Connect, profiled Mark Monjonell and Erin Purtle of Sol Padel @ Thurgoona Golf Club, an exciting sport that will be featured as an exhibition sport at the next Olympics.

Ann Sutton, Business Connect, presented a case study on Sally, Jhi and Tash of Freeroam Theatre, which as a business with a clear focus, has gone from strength to strength.

Darryl Tonks, Business Connect, is also a pilot, gave an overview of Ian Baker and Lena Votrubec of Advanced-Aero Components, who have invented aviation products and will be exporting to the US.

Tanya Creer, ASBAS Digital Solutions, shared the story of Sam Kourloufus, who, after a career in Defence, has established his new business, Hoplite an HR platform.

Anton Pemmer, Canberra Business Advice & Support Service (CBASS), profiled his clients, Josh Lees and Sarah Quelhurst of Canine Calm Walks and explained how his advice assisted them in establishing and growing their business.

Anja Livingston, the Education Program Manager, gave an overview of the Work Placement and Get Back In The Game programs, including how schools and their students participate and how businesses that accept students for work placement help to deliver life-changing outcomes.
