Protecting your IP

Property (IP) rights can be one of the most valuable assets to a business. However, as an intangible asset it is often overlooked by businesses. This webinar will provide business owners with an overview of IP rights – copyright, trademarks, patents, designs, and plant breeders rights, and provide some guidance on the best ways for business owners to ensure that their valuable intangible assets are protected.

About your presenter – Priscilla Blackadder LLB (Hons)
Priscilla is a litigation specialist with expertise in complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution, intellectual property, media law (defamation and regulatory matters arising under the provisions of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 (Cth), general commercial law, corporate regulatory matters (ASIC, ACCC) and class actions. She holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LLB Hons) and Bachelor of Arts (Music and Media). She is currently undertaking her Masters of Law in Intellectual Property Law (LLM) at the University of Melbourne – regarded as the most prestigious university in Australia for postgraduate law. Priscilla is admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia, and practices in all superior State Courts in Australia and the Federal Court. national firms and specialist boutique firms. Priscilla is particularly passionate about brand protection and works with clients in all spaces to provide both legal and commercial strategies and solutions to minimise the risk of misuse of their intellectual property and damage to their brand/reputation.
